Though relatively new to the USTA sanctioned U.S. Open qualifying tournaments (this is our third year), the rapidly growing Bayside Open Tennis Tournament has put Bayside back on the map in the league of international sports again.

This years’ tournament had to add two additional days and eliminate some lower ranked players to make room for higher ranked, top seeded tennis pros who have discovered it and are now aggressively vying for the cash prize and a chance to move up the ladder on their way to the U.S. Open in Forest Hills. You may just see the next U.S. Open champion getting their start here in Bayside.

There will be a number of local Bell Blvd restaurants
serving food on the grounds and in the clubhouse during the tournament. Also, for the first time ever, the historic clubhouse bar will be open for drinks during the tournament.

There will be lobster rolls, seafood platters, beers, wines, and exotic coffees. For all members of the family there will be hamburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream.

The Bayside Tennis Open is a significant upgrade for Bayside’s profile and will be an exciting event to come down for food, fun, music and of course, high-stakes tennis.
