Bayside Open Tennis

The 100 year old Historic Bayside North Shore Tennis and Racquet Club Dubbed “The Last Great Bastion of The Great Gatsby Era of Bayside" is experiencing a phenomenal revitalization and renaissance over at its location off Bell Blvd across from Crocheron Park, P.S 41 and the Buzzy O’Rourke children’s playground.

The Tennis Club that’s been host to some of America’s best tennis stars like Vitas Gerulaitis and US Open finalist Butch Seewagen (beat Jimmy Connors) was experiencing a lull in membership in recent years however, thanks to the dedication of a few passionate Baysider’s, the management efforts of Go Tennis , support and encouragement from members of the Bayside Historic Society and the re-energizing of the clubs long standing tennis tournament that was broadcast for the first time last year over BaysideLiveTV.com, the club has made a remarkable comeback and the fate of its future as one of Bayside’s last remaining gems now seems secure.
