Here is the 2017 St Mary’s Walk-A-Thon that took place down in Crocheron Park. This video features the parade itself with the entire river of people who attended. If you walked the walk-a-thon you will see yourself in this video.
BTW, the event raised over $75,000.
Here’s a blurb from St Mary’s Kids Website
“Event raised over $75,000 to support programs and services to help New York’s most critically ill children
Crocheron Park, located in Bayside was the place to be for family-fun on Sunday, April 23 when hundreds gathered for St. Mary’s Hospital for Children’s 12th Annual Walk and family fun day to raise funds and awareness for children with special needs and medically complex conditions. The event united community leaders, local businesses, patients, families and friends as they walked a ½ mile and a 2.5 mile route around the park to support St. Mary’s Kids. The event raised over $75,000 for vital programs and services for St. Mary’s Hospital for Children.
“The Walk is an opportunity for the community to come together to raise funds and awareness for NY’s children with special healthcare needs. It’s a day to celebrate all our courageous children,” said Dr. Eddie Simpser, President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children.”
